God's Timing

I got to witness God's hand in the timing of a situation.
My dad and I were on a trip, and we were going to stop for lunch. As we pulled off the exit, there was a small accident in the intersection we needed to go through. We waited for a few minutes as it was cleared up and then we arrived at our destination: Chick-fil-A :).
We ordered and sat down, a family sitting next to us about thirty seconds later.
As we ate, I overheard the mom on the phone, discussing some bad news they had gotten. The Holy Spirit nudged me after she ended her phone call and I knew I needed to pray with her.
My flesh fought back, saying I didn't know if she was a Christian, that I didn't want to be yelled at in public, trying to dissuade me.
My dad saw the look on my face and asked what I was thinking and I said that I felt like I should pray with her. He looked at me and said "They prayed before they ate."
My chest lightened and I finished my food, hesitating. My dad picked up the tray and said, "I'll deal with this, you go pray with her."
I walked over, and mentioned I had heard her conversation and asked how I could pray for her. She gave a short request and I asked if I could pray with her before I left and she accepted. We prayed together and then my dad and I left.
All I know is that, if that we hadn't chosen to chose that Chick-fil-A, if the accident hadn't happened, if they hadn't sat down so soon after us, I wouldn't have been able to encourage her like I did. Something as little as thirty seconds could have changed the result of that situation. God used everything leading up to that to allow me to be where I was needed, when I was needed.
Don't ignore the little nudges. God places you where you are needed at the right time. The Holy Spirit's voice might be quiet at times, but you won't be able to ignore it. Don't let your flesh overcome an opportunity to bless someone else.
