With each new year, I find many new things. New hopes, worries, and fears crowd my mind as I look at the daunting year ahead of me. I want to improve myself and my life. New habits are planned and new goals set.
And every year I get scared by the exacting bar I've set for myself.
But one can't eat an elephant all in one gulp. You have to take small bites and gradually conquer.
So, with each new goal or habit, I still set an overall goal for the year. For example, A/B grades. This is what I want to accomplish in the long run. This can't happen overnight so to help me on my way, I chose smaller goals- monthly, weekly, daily. This helps me stay on track and makes me happy when I've managed to hit all my goals for a month.
