A Letter to Myself

Updated: Jan 24, 2022

Dear Me,

How are you doing? Are you doing your daily devotions and talking to God? I have noticed when you have your devotions, your day typically goes better. Praying also helps when you are struggling with fear. What are you learning? Have you studied any attributes of God lately? God's grace still covers your sin, and He knows that you can't do it on your own. Christ is more than enough, and only He can help you. Remember that. Are you doing your best in school? Studying hard and going above and beyond? Please remember that while getting good grades is important, it's not the end of the world if you don't make an A on that quiz. But please, still do your best. How are your relationships doing? Have you lashed out because that one sibling annoyed you? Or did you ignore your friend when you wanted to talk about yourself? Make sure you listen to others and really hear what they are saying. They have things they want to talk about, same as you. How are you showing love to those around you? Have you sacrificed anything for anyone lately? Remember that Christ calls you to love others as yourself. Don't forget: He let Himself be murdered on the Cross for you.

What are you feeling? Depressed and feeling that you can never be good enough? I am not enough, and you are not enough. But that's okay! We are both saved by grace, and we always have God's mercy at our fingertips. Whenever we mess up, God is ready to forgive us. I hope that you know God loves you. Remember that. Sincerely, Myself

What would you write to yourself? Maybe write a letter to yourself and see what you want to change about yourself. As always, I would love to hear what you think! If you have any suggestions about what I should write, please let me know!
